Studio Procedures

  • All students must bring a labeled water bottle and dance bag to every class.
  • Dancers should arrive early enough to change shoes, use the restroom and be ready for class.
  • Dancers may arrive no later than 10 minutes late to class.
  • Students must be in the required dance attire in order to participate in class. Dancers will be asked to sit out if they show up in incorrect dance attire.
  • Parents are NOT ALLOWED to watch classes in windows. This is distracting to our dancers as well as staff. Parents are allowed to glance occasionally but may not remain in the window as to cause a distraction. There will be opportunities to record/view classes provided at your instructor’s discretion. Parent’s may not congregate outside Studio A. If you are visible to students and staff, you will be asked to walk farther down as not to distract the class in session.
  • Parents should not attend dancers inside the class room.

Health Concerns

  • If your dancer is showing any signs of illness, we ask you to please keep your dancers home.
  • Dancers will be encouraged to sanitize coming in and out of class.

Vacation Dates There is no reduced tuition for scheduled holidays.

Communication

GDS makes every effort to keep parents and students informed about important information. Our primary means of communication is through email. All families MUST have a working email address on file. If you have not received correspondence from us or have ever marked us as spam, please come to the front desk so we can ensure email delivery. We also communicate through Facebook, mail, telephone and the lobby bulletin board. It is ultimately the responsibility of our parents to make sure they have received the information.

Photo Release

GDS is hereby granted permission to take photographs of the students to use in brochures, web sites, posters, advertisements and other promotional materials the school creates. Permission is also hereby granted for the school to copyright such photographs in its name.

Substitution

GDS reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes. If a teacher is ill and the studio cannot arrange a substitute, classes will be canceled, and a make-up date will be provided.

An outward expression of an inward harmony.
